Monday, March 31st, 2008

Once again a bit thank you to everyone who has contributed,  Due to the media exposia of last week we are well on our way.

A very special thank you goes out to a certain someone, who’s  extraordinary  generosity  now means that we are now up to our target and within sight of the full cost of a SEGWAY

Please continue to sponsor us, as any further funds raised will be used to help others in similar situations

18 mile Off Road Run

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Did my first long off road run this weekend, after having to abandon last Sundays due to the blizzard of snow and hail that left me frozen to the bone… and out of action for the week with the snivel!

All went well and completed in 4 hrs 20min so not bad after a week in bed.

Hastings Half Marathon

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

This Sunday was the dreaded Hastings 1/2 Marathon, which even with the seasonally inclement weather and relentless hills  provide me with a PB of 02:09:55 and placing me 2617th out of 3704.

Getting there slowly.. but surely…Times creeping up, but felt strong at the finish even managing a good sprint over the line

Monday, March 17th, 2008

This Saturday Nick from “Southern Segway” came down to Hove park so George could test run a SEGWAY and give us a chance to show off what we were trying to do to the local paper, much to the interest of the weekly 5km race competitors whom use the park on a Saturday morning.

16 Mile run…..

Friday, March 14th, 2008

This Saturday I ran my first “Long Run” of 16 miles, 3 1/2 hours battling driving rain and the strong winds that threatened to wash us out to sea as we ran along the under cliff back from Rottingdean… not sure whether 26miles now seems more realistic or just more of a impossibility
